Hi Folks,
Up for auction is a rare Dog face dorknob designed by Ludwig Kruzinger and made by M.C.C. (Metal Compression Casting Co. of Boston) in the late 1860's to early 1870's. At one time, examples of this exquisite knob pattern sold for $5,000 or more but subsequent reproductions and the surfacing of additional examples have brought down values in recent years. Still, it is a highly sought after pattern for antique hardware collectors. Current bid (June 27) is $175 and auction ends tomorrow (June 28. 2010) at 10 AM EST.
