Just got a Moreau newel post lamp from a California auction via UPS today . . . shipping has bent & torn her wrist, but it is still attached.
Does anybody have a repair expert somewhere between Wisconsin and Maryland? I suppose that I could send it back to California (Walker metal smith, per a Google search), but I'd rather find something closer.
Also, she is missing her little metal label/plaque. Does anybody know of a reference source for identifying the "name" of these statues? Mine is a L & F Moreau, as seen in the link below (before the damaged wrist). She appears to be an allegory for "hope", if I had to guess (based on the anchor & all).
