We are in the process of purchasing a Queen Anne built in 1893. This house has a round front porch and second floor balcony. I have been hard pressed to find an example photo. Can anyone help? It would seem that the Architectural feature is somewhat rare. Is that in fact the case? The purpose of my search is to replace the adornment that has been ravaged by time and the "Good Idea Fairy". Can someone please assist?
Could you please post a photo of your house? I have seen a number of 2nd-floor balconies over the years...not a particularly common thing, but not so uncommon so as to make me really pause and take note.
Thank you!

You might try to do some research to get original photos of the house from prior owners, original families, etc.
Here's one of many photos that are in this book, America's Painted Ladies. There would be many ideas for you in there.

Thank you very much
There's a chance your original balusters are just capped. If they are, they're probably not in the greatest condition, but they would provide the basis of a restoration.
Nice tower! You may want to visit this Flickr photo group on Victorian Style Homes.
