Earliest bent glass china cabinets

When did the earliest bent glass china cabinets appear . . . mid-1880's?

Good question, i really dont know but 1880-1890 sounds about right.

A friend has a beautiful mahogany cabinet that while massive and proportional, has rather simple, elegant lines and styling cues such as molding profiles and 'bun' feet that make me think it may be one of the earliest forms.  I'll try to get a photo on here sometime.  Glad to say I have right-of-first-refusal.
