Hey guys,
I am hoping you are willing and able to help me. I have recently come into a very large inheritance of "stuff"--- a property with a farmhouse and buildings, LOTS of furniture, LOTS of antiques. My husband and I have begun the renovation process. This is a bed we got. From what little research I have done, I believe it to be Eastlake? My grandparents bought it for themselves used in the 1930s. Is it indeed Eastlake? Any other information? Approximate date? Material? Maker? Insurance value? We have no intention of selling it, as it is "family", so that is why I am refinishing it (I know, I know, you guys are probably shaking your heads at me). I just don't like dark furniture!
THANK YOU!!!
Eastlake bed perhaps?

It is actually probably a little earlier than Eastlake - Renaissance Revival style - 1860s/70s
I agree. It's not Eastlake. It's missing the characteristic elements of Eastlake style. Renaissance Revival is the best name for it.
Renaissance Revival, 1870-75. Nice finials on the ends of the headboard! ;)
