My family was given a twin bedroom set that has a "KARPEN GUARANTEED CONSTRUCTION FURNITURE. CHICAGO. Michigan City-New York" Metal stamp on the inside of a drawer. I have seen posts about the "Karpen Brothers". Is it possible they are the same company, and if so is that important to the value of the set? It is solid dark wood with decorative carvings and iron accents. Thanks for your help!
Is the metal tag oval or rectangular in shape?

I spoke to a descendant of the Karpens and she has their catalogs. The oval dates your piece from 1924 to 1933.
