I see from the advertisement on the homepage of www.rarevictorian.com that Southampton Antiques is going out of business. That's a big surprise to me. I wonder if it is a sign of the times and a casualty of the economy are they are simply retiring. They have been a staple in the world of high end and rare Victorian furniture for as long as I can remember. I've seen their adds & viewed their website countless times and even visited their shop. They consistently always have a great inventory of the cream of the crop in high style Victorian furniture. Their absence will be a loss for the world of rare Victorian furniture. I will however have a little less drool on my keyboard not having their website and gorgeous furniture to look at. woodwright
Well stated. When I began to see the consistent sale category
I figured something must be up. There will be many which
miss going to this site monthly! I wonder if someone/who will step in
and fill in the void?

"Semi-retirement" is what I am told and will be continuing on a much smaller scale for a few more years.
I love their site as well, though my "wallet" is not quite deep enough to avail myself of the goodies I want!
