Has anyone ever seen an inset lock with a brass escutcheon that actually threads into the wood? Really well made desk, locks are heavy brass gauge. Trying to establish its a ny piece but have never seen the threaded escutcheons before.

Here is a shot of lock w/ escutcheon.  Desk has tight gothic arch doors and great posts that to me say NY but has a Boston look as well.  Just never seen the escutcheons done this way, heavy brass that threads into drawer face.
