Hey all:

I recently found a Wedgwood Jasperware buiscuit barrel that I believe to be pre 1860. Unlike the post 1860s articles with their 3-digit dating codes, this one has only "Wedgwood" and "W" (or is it "M?" ha ha) imprinted on the bottom. My research indicates that this could be as old as the 18th century.

The barrell/jar is rounded, with the "sacrifice" white figures against a deep blue background. The lid has a bone or ivory finial.

I've written the Boston Wedgwood site, and they don't seem interested in replying.

Can anyone help me date this object?

Thanks!!
