I have aquired a dining room suite. I have a sideboard, server, table w/ 4 leafs & 8 chairs. I have been told it might be Horner. What say you?

I don't know Horner well enough to say - but that would be one of my first guesses too. I'll let others who know Horner well chime in here.
My comment to you is that it is obviously being stored in a basement (by the cinderblock walls) - I hope it is much drier than the average basement - if not, get it out of there ASAP, or in the very least run a dehumidifier to keep it as dry as possible. Virtually all furniture of this era was assembled w/ hot hide glue (which as the name implies is made from the rendering of animal hides). It is a water soluble glue and is sensitive to high moisture & humidity which will cause glue joints, veneer and applied carvings to loosen and come unglued. It can virtually destroy a piece of furniture if left in areas of high humidity for extended periods. Do not store furniture/ wooden antiques in your basement (unless it's very dry there).    woodwright
Thanks woodwright! I thought it was Honer as well but there is no paper lables or tags on any peice, so wasnt sure. Its not in a basement but in my shop, just moved it out of a house. Thanks for all your info.
