mallard bed??? pics

bed purchased in mississippi 30 years ago?? could it be mallard???

It does not resemble any Mallard beds that I'm familiar with.  Search sold lots in Liveauctioneers.com to see some Mallard beds (though be careful since some may not be confirmed as Mallard).  Also, May 1997 issue of magazine Antiques.

Pay attention to the details when comparing carvings and shape of components.  The overall shape/form of the bed and carving themes are common across many makers of the time, but the identification lies in the details.

thanks so much for the info, i really appreciate it.  i am getting ready to downsize and just wanted to make sure that i didn't sell the bed for much less than it might be worth.
